Managing performance

There are regular reports on how well we’re doing, against our objectives. The 18 departments with a Public Service Agreement (PSA) have to produce an Autumn Performance Report, covering the FCO's 9 PSA targets and its efficiency programme.

The main report covers 1 April to 30 September and there are updates for the full financial year are in the Departmental Annual Report.

Managing risk

At the FCO we deal with risk management every day. For example we manage the risks that might affect UK nationals abroad, and the risks of overseas events damaging UK interests.

Our Risk Management Framework is designed to help identify and deal systematically with the risks to its organisation and objectives, at home and abroad. There’s more information at the page on Managing risk.
