The FCO's role in tackling the threat from terrorism and violent extremism is an integral part of the UK government's Counter Terrorism Strategy (CONTEST). Our staff are working in the UK and around the world with foreign governments and international organisations like the EU and UN to counter terrorism and weapons proliferation and their causes.
